PROGRAM INDEX
All papers in the final Paper & Author Index
Why does the program list 1,933 papers? The 1,585 figure covers only papers submitted directly as IROS contributed papers. The final technical program can additionally include eligible IEEE RAS/IES journal papers presented at IROS, together with final program changes. The difference of 348 is therefore a net difference between two scopes, not by itself an exact count of journal papers.

Author-declared keywordsi
Ground-truth tagging — assigned by the authors themselves at submission, from PaperPlaza's controlled vocabulary of ~150 categories. Each paper declares 2–3 keywords. More accurate (and more granular) than the regex-based Hot topics below. Click a bar to filter.
Top keywords
Hot topicsi
Auto-tagged from paper titles only via 32 hand-curated regex patterns — a coarse view of the broad themes at the conference. Multi-label: a paper can match several topics, so percentages can sum above 100%. ~22% of papers (~641) match no topic at all — partly niche subjects the taxonomy doesn't cover (e.g. formal methods, KAN, novel sensors), but also papers whose title phrasing the naive regex simply failed to catch. For granular and accurate tagging use the author-declared keywords above.
Institutions · Regions
Counting rule: each paper contributes at most +1 per canonical institution and at most +1 per canonical institution region. Raw affiliation strings are first normalized through the institution alias / multimap layer. Bar / doughnut color is keyed to the region's overall rank, so the same region appears in the same color across both charts. Hover the i next to a chart title for full details.

PI / Lab Radar 100 recommended PIs
Switch from papers to research programs. ★★★ / ★★ / ★ indicates APRL relevance only—how closely each group's indexed IROS 2026 work connects to APRL's radar priorities: 3D perception, persistent mapping/localization, navigation, embodied AI/VLA, multi-robot systems, and physical intelligence. It is not an evaluation or ranking of the PI or lab. Last-author is a useful but imperfect PI proxy.
